What happens when your bicycle is stolen in Beijing?
Thousands of bicycles are stolen each day in Beijing.
Xinhua in 2007 reported that Beijing authorities had arrested 329 bicycle theft gangs, arrested 3,686 suspects, raided 774 hide-outs and confiscated 18,825 bicycles by November of that year. Those figures represented a 40% drop in bicycle theft.
