Friendship Bridge Dandong
The Friendship Bridge spans the Yalu River between Dandong in China and Sinuiju in North Korea.
The Beijing - Pyongyang railway line crosses the border here. This is the bridge North Korean leaders will take when they make occasional state visits to their giant neighbor and benefactor.
The Bridge was built by the Japanese in 1943, bombed by the Americans in the Korean War and subsequently restored.
